Once the Craftshop frame becomes available there’s a new group of quests you can try out. The quests generally are aimed around the Craftshop and with the help of your friends you can get some great rewards, some of which can be used towards the construction of the Craftshop. You’ll need to be Level 15 to start the quests.
Workin’ on the Craftshop
Gilda has stopped by and is trying to convince you to start a Craftshop, because every farmer is going to want one (in the example below we’ve already placed the Craftshop).
The quest objectives are:
* Buy 1 Craftshop – you should be able to get this completed just by getting the Craftshop through Placement mode. Alternatively you can just buy it from the Market.
* Fertilize plots on neighbor’s farms 25 times – you’ll need to fertilize 25 plots of neighbors farms (note that you can fertilize 5 plots on each neighbor’s farm per 24 hour period).
The quest rewards are:
* 100 XP
* 2 Hammers
* 2 bags of Concrete
* 2 Spools of Twine
* 2,500 Coins
You also have the option of Sharing some more Concrete with your friends via a wall feed post when you complete the quest.
Shoulder to the Plow
Farming and crafting means you’ll need to know both processes to be successful – growing the ingredients, crafting parts and making something cool.
The quest objectives are:
* Get 6 Cans of Elbow Grease – you can acquire these Cans by clicking on the “Ask Friends” button, which will ask you to make a post to your feed. Alternatively you can skip this step by paying Farm Cash.
* Harvest 100 Morning Glory – plant and harvest 100 plots of the Morning Glory flower.
The quest rewards are:
* 250 XP
* 1 Milk Jub Cart
* 5,000 Coins
Finishing Touches
The final quest involves finishing the Craftshop with some hard work.
The quest objectives are:
* Complete 1 Craftshop – complete construction of the Craftshop. You can spend Farm Cash to finish this objective, which should be 1 Farm Cash for every part left that you need (the default is 29 if you haven’t used any additional parts yet).
* Harvest 100 Wheat – plant and harvest 100 plots of the Wheat crop.
The quest rewards are:
* 500 XP
* 5 Farm Cash
* 7,500 Coins
You also have the option of Sharing some Spools of Twine with your friends via a wall feed post when you complete this final Craftshop quest.

It’s time to start building the Craftshop, a new constructible building that will serve as the base for a whole new level of crafting in FarmVille in the near future. Plus we have some new quests to help you and your friends build it!
You’ll get the Craftshop frame for free the first time you play FarmVille after the update, and you will immediately be entered into Placement Mode. You can place the Craftshop on your farm now, or you can choose to place it in your Gift Box for use later (by switching to the Multi-Tool for instance). If you put it into your Gift Box, you’ll be able to place it on either your Home Farm or English Countryside farm.
If you lose your sell your Craftshop, you can purchase it again in the Market. It is listed under Buildings, though there are two versions available: the Craftshop frame (for coins) and the fully-built Craftshop (for 30 Farm Cash). If you see that it is “Locked” you either have one in your Gift Box or it’s on your farm someplace. You can have just one Craftshop per farm.
Once the Craftshop frame is on the farm you can click on it, then select “Look Inside” to see this window:
The Craftshop is a constructible building that requires certain building parts to complete it. However, it does not require the normal types of building parts, but instead three new types: Spools of Twine, Concrete bags, and Hammers.
You can acquire these parts by:
* Asking your neighbors for these parts by posting a help request to your feed (click on the “Ask For Part” button for each type of part).
* Give parts to your neighbors via the Free Gifts page or the “Send Gifts” button.
* Acquire parts by spending Farm Cash. Click on the “Buy” button for that particular part to purchase all of the particular part that you need (the cost is X Farm Cash, where X is the number of parts left that you need), or buy those parts individually in the Market (you can find them in Farm Aides -> Other).
* Acquire all needed parts for the building by spending Farm Cash (click on the “Complete Now” button to purchase parts for the rest of the building). The cost is X Farm Cash, where X is the total number of parts left needed to finish the building.
* Using individual parts already available in your Gift Box.
* As rewards from certain quests (see below).
This is what the Craftshop looks like once fully constructed:
You’ll also see this window pop up when you complete it:
Right now you can’t do anything with it, but just wait, you will soon!

Lady Gaga and Zynga today announced a partnership to launch the mega-artist’s new album “Born this Way.” Launching May 17, the first-of-its-kind program gives “little monsters” throughout the world a first listen to exclusive un-released songs from the upcoming when they visit GagaVille, a uniquely designed neighboring farm in FarmVille (There will be unicorns and crystals. Enough said.). The full album also comes bundled as a free download with the purchase of a special Zynga $25 game card, available exclusively at Best Buy.

In our continued effort to refine and update the sheep breeding process we made some changes today, specifically towards the chameleon color-changing ability that we’ve previously released. Now, the probability to inherit the chameleon color-changing ability is much higher and mimics pattern inheritance: the chameleon ability can only be inherited from the father (at a certain percentage chance), and the chance of inheritance increases dramatically if both parents have the chameleon ability.
As you may know we removed the Chameleon Ewe from the Market last week in part because it wasn’t working the way it should. While we may return it to the Market in the near future, today we are gifting everyone who purchased a Chameleon Ewe with one new Chameleon Ram (a color-changing ram with no pattern). This new ram should be available in the Market later tonight at 9PM PDT.
White sheep should no longer be outright produced by color-changing sheep if the ability is not being inherited--instead it should be more of a reddish color.

We’ve made a few new changes on how you “Use” things in your Gift Box to make your life easier, including collection basket items!
For instance, let’s say you still have a bunch of Flowers left over from the Spring event and you want to redeem them all really quickly. Previously you had to click on “Use” for each item until they were all put into your basket. However, now if you go into your Gift Box you can see that all of these types of items have a “Use All” button. Just click on it and all of those items will be applied towards the basket. No more clicking for each individual item!
This change also now applies for that horde of bees that may still be in your Gift Box, as well as any collection of Animal Feed.

Quite a few of you are wondering exactly which harvestable items qualify for what collection. Here's a better description:
* Grains - Grains are any crop that are listed in the Grains section in the Market.
* Citrus - Citrus trees like the Lime Tree, Ponderosa Lemon, Blood Orange, etc.
* Squash - Certain types of squashy crops like the Acorn Squash, Spumpkin, Zucchini, etc.
* Flowers - Flowers are any crop that are listed in the Flowers section of the Market.
* Cows - Nearly all available cows should count. Calves do not count.
* Berries - Most fruits that have "berries" in their name, including Strawberries and Elderberries, as well as Red Currants.
Hopefully this will help out a lot when you're trying to fill out your Collections.

The FarmVille Collections system has gone through some major revisions! The system is now much more streamlined (similar to the Wishing Well), so you don’t have to gather collectibles in your inventory and “Use” them later on. The six old collections have been replaced with six new ones, the prizes are exciting, and you can even level up your accomplishments!
You’ll automatically get the new Collections system the next time you play FarmVille after the update. Any of the collectibles you’ve acquired and used towards a Collection are now gone—however, you’ve been compensated a fair amount of XP and Coins for each (note in the example above we didn’t have any, so we didn’t get any Coins or XP).
If you still have a few of the old Collectibles in your inventory, unfortunately you’ll need to delete them as they are no longer in use.
You can see the new system simply by moving your mouse down to the bottom right, and then going over the Ribbons button.
When you see the strip of buttons pop up, click on Collections:
Here you see the new Collections interface. Four of the six new Collections are arrayed at top (just click on the arrow on the right to see the other two). The new Collections are:
* Berries
* Citrus
* Cows
* Flowers
* Grains
* Squash
What you need to complete each Collection is shown in the lower half of the Collections window, as well as the rarity of each item. All Collections require a certain number of three different Common collectibles, and a smaller number of Uncommon and Rare collectibles. Once you have enough of the collectibles, you’ll see a big “Complete!” notice and the “Trade In” button will light up (alternatively you can go ahead and purchase that Collection with Farm Cash using the “Complete Now” button):
You can also see what you have in the other Collections by clicking on the icon for each Collection. Certain collectibles may also have a little green paper icon next to them—this means you can ask your neighbors to give you this item, though you can only use this feature once a day. Move your mouse over it and click on the “Ask” button to do so.
The prizes are shown at the bottom right; you’ll get Coins and XP for every trade in, and many times you will get an extra special prize item. You will also be shown an option to celebrate this accomplishment by sharing a random Uncommon or Rare collectible with your neighbors by making a post to your feed.
As you may have noticed, every time you trade in your collectibles for prizes the Collection levels up. Every time the Collection levels up you’ll need more collectibles to finish the new Collection level. However, the rewards for completing that new Collection level also increase with each level. The prize box shows what you can get for the current Collection level, but if you move your mouse over the arrow on the right a panel will slide out showing the prizes for the next Collection level so you can see what will be available ahead of time.
You acquire collectibles by harvesting items related to each Collection. You’ll get a collectible based on random chance for each individual harvesting action. For Berries, this would involve harvesting berry crops; Citrus requires the harvesting of fruit trees. For cows, you need cows. English Countryside and Greenhouse crops can count towards some of these Collections. When you use consumables for harvesting actions, every item that gets harvested gets taken into consideration (so there’s no advantage or disadvantage of using a harvesting consumable as far as getting collectibles goes). If you get a collectible you’ll see a little pop-up message telling you what you got.
Here are some things of note: you can only access new Collections if you’re level 10 or above. Special Delivery Boxes and Mystery Eggs will no longer provide collectibles—only harvesting actions and acquisitions from neighbors can get you collectibles.

Collections is changing soon! You’ll be able to gather all new collectibles, then redeem for a variety of amazing prizes. You can even level up your collections for even better rewards!
You'll also get XP and Coins for the collectibles you've already assigned to a Collection (those not in a Collection but are sitting in your Gift Box will need to be deleted as they'll become useless once we make the change). But, if you still want those rewards from the old Collections, redeem them quickly.
One nice thing is that you won't have to worry about the collectibles sitting in your Gift Box anymore (especially if you've maxed out on it), nor will you get those funky SDB "Use All" cases where you open up 100 SDBs and wind up with 100 Needlepoints or something. It's all integrated into a single inventory-less system, a lot like the Wishing Well. You'll also be able to share certain collectibles with your neighbors.
Stay tuned, this change is coming fairly soon!

You can now see what Level you neighbors are if they are above Level 100! Previously the neighbor bar just showed 100, even though they could have been anywhere above that (though they were sorted in the correct order based on XP).

Today we've started the process of raising the level cap on the Farm Cash reward, which is normally given to you as you go up in level from Level 1 to Level 100. We're now extending this to Level 250; those of you that have gone up above Level 100 already will have this Farm Cash retroactively added to your account.
Thank you everyone for playing, and we hope enjoy the addition of Farm Cash that can become available to you!

We are ramping this feature today so please don't be alarmed if you don't have it yet--you will soon!
The storage system (which includes Storage Cellars and the barns if you’re still using them) has been revamped to feature a new, searchable interface, tabs for both your Home and English Countryside farms, and filters to easily sort your inventory. Check it out!
You’ll be able to see your revamped storage system by visiting your Storage Cellar or Barn, clicking on “Look Inside” and selecting the “Inventory” button:
You can see buttons for both your Home Farm and your English Farm; clicking on one will automatically bring up your inventory for that farm (you no longer have to travel between farms to see the inventory for it). At the upper left you can see numbers for the maximum size of your storage as well as how much you have in your inventory currently.
You’ll also see a row of buttons showing the filters you can sort your inventory with: All, Trees, Animals, Buildings and Decorations. (Note that the ability to store Trees and Animals is not available yet and is coming soon!)
Below that you’ll see what’s in your inventory. Each “page” shows up to six entries; if you have more, you can click on the right or left arrow buttons on either side of the window to quickly navigate your way through your storage inventory. Or if you know exactly what you’re looking for, just type it in into the Search box at the upper right by clicking on it, then typing what you’re looking for:
Clicking on “Expand Storage” at the bottom will bring you to the Inventory Expansion page, where you’ll see the usual options to expand your barns or upgrade your Cellar using Shovels.
